Garbage Pick Up Routes
Garbage Pick-Up Service
Waste Management contracts with the City of Monmouth for weekly solid waste pickup. Questions about trash service should be directed to City Hall.
Garbage should be at the curb on your garbage day by 6 a.m. You may put garbage out the night before.
Up to four trash cans and/or bags will be picked up at each residence. If you have more than four containers or bags, extra garbage stickers may be purchased at City Hall for $1.50 each. You can also rent a large 96 rolling toter (that holds seven garbage bags). Contact the Galesburg Waste Management office at (866) 570-4702 to rent a toter.
All garbage must be in bags and/or refuse containers. DO NOT use a cardboard box for refuse. The weight of the trash cans or bags should not exceed 50 pounds.
After pick-up, please store your trash cans at the side or rear of your property.
Holidays for Waste Management garbage pick-up are: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. If these holidays occur on a weekday, the garbage schedule will be delayed by one day.
Refuse pick-up is for residents of Monmouth only.
