Jane Berg is the administrative assistant for City Clerk Susan Trevor and Account Manager Brenda Boydstun. She’s the friendly face you see at the front desk when you come in to City Hall. Jane’s position involves working with the public, answering phones, handling fines and other payments, and helping residents with license forms. Before joining the City of Monmouth in 2014, she worked in advertising and marketing for The Register-Mail and Prairie Radio Communications. Her sales background made her a natural for providing customer service for the City.

Jane is an active member of the Monmouth Business Council, which sponsors events like Market Alley Music Days and BaconFest. She does everything from setting up tables and chairs to organizing volunteers. In the office, she arranges fun events for coworkers such as a Super Bowl-themed lunch with lots of appetizers.

“We’re a team here,” Jane says.

When she’s not at work, Jane enjoys cooking, baking, and traveling to Iowa to spend time with her daughter and son-in-law.
